The Cottage
|
Lowenna is a four-storey fisherman’s cottage situated in the old part of the St Ives, in a quiet no-through road, a few yards from the harbour and beaches and within easy walking distance of all attractions. These include the ‘Blue Ribbon’ award winning Porthmeor beach, Tate St Ives Gallery and Barbara Hepworth Museum. The cottage can accommodate five people and has two bedrooms and partial sea views. There may be a discount for two people booking out of school holidays.
The spacious living room displays local art and has comfortable seating, gas fire, TV/DVD/CD player and a brand new fitted kitchen area with gas hob and cooker, fridge, dishwasher, table and chairs. A stable door leads onto Church Place, a quiet no-through road with the St Ives Society of Artists Gallery opposite the cottage. The lower floor utility area contains the washing machine and microwave oven and has a stable door that opens onto the shared yard leading onto the pretty, cobbled, Bailey’s Lane. Stairs lead to the first floor with newly renovated bathroom with shower-bath, power shower, basin and WC, a separate washroom with basin and WC and a double bedroom, with washbasin, hair dryer, radio and cot. The stairs continue up to the top floor bedroom with three single beds, (two of which can be converted into a double) washbasin and partial sea views. The cottage is comfortably furnished and displays local artists work. It has gas central heating and a gas fire in the living room. Fuel and bed-linen are included in the rent. Towels can be arranged. Car parking is available in public car parks nearby. Train and bus stations both a short walk from the harbour. The cottage is no smoking and I’m afraid we cannot accommodate pets. Lowenna is available for booking all the year round. We can offer a discount for couples out of school holidays. Short breaks of three or more nights may be available out of season. Enquiries can be made to 07989 305 590
