The Cottage
|
The cottage, which can accommodate five people, has two bedrooms. To lie in bed and enjoy the sea view of the harbour from the top bedroom is a joy. The family sized kitchen/breakfast room on the lower ground floor has a stable door onto the shared yard that leads onto pretty, cobbled, Bailey's Lane. The fitted kitchen includes washing machine, fridge, cooker and microwave and table and chairs. Attractive wood panelling gives this room its own special character. The living/dining room on the ground floor is spacious and well lit with large windows at each end. Alcoves and a beamed ceiling add to the character of this room which has plenty of comfortable seating, table and chairs, colour TV/DVD and a door leading onto Church Place, opposite the St.Ives Society of Artists Gallery. Stairs lead to the first floor with the newly refurbished bathroom for 2010, including a shower bath and power shower, washbasin and WC. There is also an extra separate washroom with WC and washbasin on the first floor. The bedroom on the first floor contains a double bed and cot. The stairs continue up to the top floor bedroom with three single beds (two of which can be converted to a double - ask on booking) and partial sea views. The cottage is comfortably furnished, with gas central heating and a gas fire in the living room. All fuel is included iin the rental. Bed linen (excluding linen for the cot) is included and towels by arrangement. There is a small charge of £2 per person for a hand and bath towel, to be paid with the rental balance six weeks before the start of the holiday. I'm afraid we do not supply swimming towels. Car parking is available in public car parks nearby. Train and bus stations both a short walk from the harbour. The cottage is no smoking and I'm afraid we cannot accommodate pets. Lowenna is available for booking all the year round. Short breaks of three or more nights may be available out of season. |
